We are looking for the someone enthusiastic with a background in retail sales, social media content creation and or beauty therapy to join our growing team in Athenry. We are looking for someone who is a people person and strives to provide each customer who enters our practice with a memorable experience.
If you are a friendly customer oriented personality, then this is the job for you, attention to detail and ability to follow through and work on ones own initiative a must.
Duties will include,
1. Scheduling the optometrists appointments and managing the diary to ensure the most efficient use of the optometrists time.
2. Greeting patients, dealing with patient queries and checking their eligibility for optical benefits.
3. Helping patients to choose frames and sunglasses that they will love and will suit their needs, here is where a flair for fashion and styling comes into it.
4. ordering contact lenses and glasses.
5. Repairing and adjusting glasses.
6. Merchandising, stock control and window dressing.
7. Database management, general administration.
8. Marketing, planning promotions and sales events, generating social media content and interaction.
9. Creating content for social media, and scheduling posts.

Optical experience would be beneficial but it is not a requirement as full optical training can be provided within the practice for the right candidate who is willing to learn. There is a pathway in place for the right person to train as an optical assistant and dispensing optician in due course.
An interest in fashion and designer labels, make up and styling would be beneficial.
Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment. Computer literate, excellent communicator and team player.
A background in retail sales, customer service, beauty therapy, makeup artistry and or social media content and marketing would be beneficial.
