Full-Time | Residential Mechanical & Heat Pump Systems
We are hiring a skilled and customer-focused
Service Engineer
to join a growing mechanical services provider. This role involves planned preventative maintenance, reactive servicing, and diagnostics across a range of domestic heat pumps and mechanical systems in residential developments (houses and apartments). You will play a key role in ensuring systems operate efficiently, safely, and in full compliance with contractual and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance on domestic heat pump and mechanical systems.
* Diagnose faults, complete minor repairs, and escalate complex technical issues where required.
* Support commissioning activities to ensure systems meet performance and quality standards prior to handover.
* Conduct post-installation inspections and testing to verify compliance with industry regulations and project specifications.
* Maintain accurate service reports, diagnostic notes, and parts usage records.
* Adhere to all site health and safety procedures, including RAMS compliance.
* Provide technical support to construction, installation, and commissioning teams when needed.
* Use company digital tools (e.g., construction cloud systems) to complete checklists, issue service certificates, and generate customer invoices.
* Engage with homeowners and tenants in a courteous, professional manner.
* Participate in ongoing training programmes (heat pump technologies, ventilation systems, electrical safety, lone working, etc.).
* Perform any additional tasks as required by the Senior Management Team.
What we are looking for:
* Qualified
Plumber or Electrician
with proven experience working on heat pumps or domestic mechanical systems.
* Demonstrated background in servicing or maintaining systems within construction, mechanical, or MEP environments.
* Strong understanding of HVAC, pumps, chillers, ventilation, and general mechanical installations.
* Experience with refrigeration or F-Gas systems is beneficial but not essential.
* Safe Pass (or equivalent safety certification) required.
* Full, clean driver's licence.
