Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a capable and commercially minded Marketing Assistant to join our in-house team. Reporting directly to the Senior Marketing Manager, this is a varied and hands-on role supporting key activity across brand planning, media campaigns, and marketing budget control. It's a great opportunity for someone with solid experience looking to take the next step in a fast-moving retail environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand, Planning & Projects
· Support the execution of the brand and promotional calendar across stores and online
· Help coordinate multi-channel campaigns, product launches, and seasonal initiatives
· Prepare clear briefs, timelines, presentations, and post-campaign reviews
· Assist in managing internal approvals, campaign trackers, and project timelines
· Assist in production of marketing materials
2. Media Planning, Buying & Reporting
* Liaise with media and creative partners to deliver integrated campaigns across TV, radio, press, outdoor, digital, social, and search
* Track media schedules and campaign delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Assist with post-campaign reporting and draw insights to inform future planning
* Contribute to the preparation of weekly and monthly performance updates
3. Budgeting & Cost Control
* Maintain marketing budget trackers, process invoices, and raise purchase orders
* Monitor campaign and media spend, flagging any discrepancies or risks
* Support regular budget reviews and reconciliation against forecast
What We're Looking For
* 1–2 years' experience in a marketing, retail, or agency environment
* Strong communication, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines
* Confident in dealing with other inhouse departments and suppliers.
* Comfortable handling numbers, media plans, and campaign data
* Excellent attention to detail and a collaborative, proactive attitude
* A marketing, business or related qualification is desirable
