Technical Business Analyst Day Rate Contract (12 Months) Position Overview An established public-sector organisation is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst (5+ years experience) to support the maintenance and enhancement of multiple applications delivering education and training services nationwide. This is a 12-month day-rate contract. The role works closely with a Product Owner and Technical Development Lead to analyse initiatives, gather requirements, and deliver high-quality user stories and documentation to an experienced development and testing team. Contract & Working Model Contract Type: 12-month day-rate contract Location: Dublin 1 Onsite Requirement: 2 days per week onsite (Wednesday is the anchor day) Key Responsibilities Elicit, analyse, and document business and technical requirements. Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to define scope and requirements. Produce functional specifications, process maps, and use cases. Work closely with development teams to support solution delivery. Support testing activities, including UAT. Assist with releases, documentation, and stakeholder communications. Identify process improvement opportunities. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years experience as a Business Analyst or similar role. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience with business process modelling. Solid understanding of the SDLC. Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall environments. Desirable Experience Public-sector or education-related experience. SQL and Azure DevOps exposure. Strong stakeholder management skills. Education Degree-level qualification or equivalent experience.
