Health, Safety & Environmental AdvisorWe are currently recruiting a Health & Safety & Environmental Advisor to join our growing team in JC Enviro. The role is a full-time one based at our offices in Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan. The successful candidate will work within a small team to safeguard the health, safety and environmental integrity of the business. This is a cross-functional role and will require close communication with Operations, Human Resources, Quality and Finance as well as liaising externally with Health & Safety Consultants and other regulatory authorities. The vacancy will suit an ambitious qualified Health & Safety/Environment professional who would like to build on their experience within a growing and progressive business.Responsibilities-Maintain compliance with our NSAI ISO certified ISO 45001 Health & Safety, ISO 14001 Environment and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and to prepare for scheduled NSAI audits.Update and implement Health & Safety, Quality and Environment Policies, Procedures and Processes, (as applicable), to ensure compliance with legislation and Codes of Practice.Manage EHS and Quality compliance on a daily basis and maintain compliance records.Assess work practices and prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements to facilitate safe work practices to align with statutory requirements.Liaise with the external Health & Safety Consultants and other regulatory authorities.Conduct Health, Safety & Environmental site inspections according to a monthly Inspection Plan.Ensure all PPE and equipment is calibrated and tested as required.Organise staff H&S training and maintain training records on training matrix.Prepare reports on the performance of Health & Safety, Quality and Environment management practices/systems and make recommendations for continuous improvements.Communicate and liaise with clients in relation to Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental matters arising.Prepare Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) and Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS) Plans and supporting documentation.Promote and implement Health, Safety, Quality & Environment initiatives in the company.Work with the H&S Consultants to carry out internal audits and to address actions identified to ensure statutory compliance and best practice.Flexibility to work on ad hoc projects as required.Requirements:Level 8 Degree in Occupational Health & Safety / Level 9 Masters in Environmental, Health & Safety, or equivalentIdeally up to 5 years working in a Health & Safety / Environment role preferably in a small/medium Services business, though applications welcome from new graduatesExcellent knowledge of Safety, Health and Environment legislation with strong awareness of current industry trendsDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervisionExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAdvanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsDemonstrated success in a team environmentDemonstrated ability to clarify, communicate and solve problemsProven ability to drive the completion of tasksFull clean driving licence.Salary and Working Conditions:Excellent Package with benefits.
