Sanderson is partnering with a leading reinsurance organisation to recruit a talented and detail focused Senior Financial Accountant to join their expanding finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to take on a broad and impactful role, contributing to both financial and regulatory reporting while collaborating closely with underwriting, operations, and senior stakeholders.As a key member of the finance function, you will play an integral role in supporting core accounting activities, producing high-quality financial outputs, and driving continuous improvements across processes and systems.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out reconciliations across reinsurance underwriting systemsOversee retrocession accounting for quota share arrangements, including related cash settlementsPartner with reinsurance and MGA teams to analyse and interpret underwriting activityReview and analyse financial performance, contributing to quarterly reporting packs for senior managementPrepare and review quarterly financial results in line with US GAAPSupport group reporting requirements and regulatory submissionsMaintain and strengthen SOX controls and associated documentationAct as a primary liaison for both internal and external audit processesProvide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requiredContribute to finance system upgrades and implementation initiativesSkills & ExperienceProfessionally Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA with at least 3–5 years’ post-qualification experienceProven experience within the insurance or reinsurance industry is essentialStrong background in reinsurance financial reporting is highly advantageousExcellent analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, international environmentFamiliarity with regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II is an advantageFor more information, please contact Elaine Liston at Sanderson on 0863516302 or submit your application online.
