About the Team: The Payments Dashboard group is a newly formed organization focused on Stripe’s dashboard. This team owns the platform, center of excellence, and some of the highest‑visited pages on stripe.com’s merchant dashboard. It handles core user flows such as integration setup, settings, transaction lists, data exports, receipts, and foundational operational pages. The charter is to establish new information architecture and a centralized place to configure, manage, and optimize user integrations.
What you’ll do
Design and reason about integration experiences with a focus on end‑user simplicity and developer experience.
Recruit top engineering talent in partnership with Stripe’s recruiting team to build a diverse, high‑performing team.
Scale the team from zero, work with US‑based teams to align charters and ownership, and take over more domains as the team grows.
Build full‑stack solutions across Stripe’s ecosystem, including back‑end services, dashboard interfaces, and integrations with other Stripe primitives.
Engage directly with users to understand their business needs and translate requirements into concrete solutions.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams – product, design, infrastructure, and engineering – to deliver these solutions.
Help scale our systems to handle millions of transactions while maintaining high availability and performance.
Lead engineering and design processes, coaching, mentoring, and supporting your team as they build innovative, user‑facing solutions.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of engineering management experience, directly managing and growing teams of 5+ engineers focused on building and shipping products at scale.
10+ years of full‑time software development experience with a strong background in full‑stack development.
Experience hiring and building new teams from zero.
Experience working across geographies and with North America‑based teams.
Experience leading teams that have shipped and maintained critical user‑facing products.
Strong technical proficiency to engage thoughtfully with engineers about architecture and product design, with a particular focus on modern web technologies, performance, and user experience.
Experience building extensible, leveraged software solutions that scale to different kinds of user needs, with the ability to empathize with users and advocate for exceptional user experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working in payments and on payments technology.
Previous experience using Stripe products.
In‑office expectations
Office‑assigned Stripes are expected to spend at least 50% of their time in their local office or with users each month. Expectations vary by role, team, and location. For example, staff in our Bucharest site may have an 80% in‑office expectation, and staff in delivery center roles in Mexico City or Bengaluru work 100% from the office. These expectations balance collaboration with flexibility.
Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is €132,000‑€198,000. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, which includes commissions, bonuses, and base salary. Benefits and additional compensation may include equity, company bonus, retirement plans, health benefits, and wellness stipends.
