Senior Structural Design Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join our team.
About the Role:
* Lead the design process and coordinate with other disciplines to deliver high-quality structural engineering solutions.
* Prepare feasibility study reports, assemble design specifications, and monitor scope of works to ensure timely delivery.
* Carry out detailed design to B Regulations standard, ensuring CDM, QA, and technical review and sign off by project leader.
* Gain an appreciation of sustainability and incorporate requirements into project delivery.
* Coordinate project contracts documents, deal with day-to-day queries from the site, and report to the client any variance between the works constructed and the design intent.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced structural engineer to take on a leadership role and contribute to the development of graduate and junior engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project management of small/simple projects using applicable project management tools.
2. Liaising with clients, design team members, and other members of staff.
3. Administration of projects, including preparation and coordination of civil & structural engineering drawings using Revit & AutoCAD.
4. Development of relationships with Clients through attendance at client meetings and contribution to project interviews.
The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills, numeracy skills, organisational skills, ability to work as part of a team, multitasking skills, and experience with site measurement GPS survey equipment/Optical Level.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
* Chartered Engineer status (or working towards it).
* Experience with design software including Revit, Robot Structural Analysis, Navisworks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
