We have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Operations Manager to lead our onsite logistics team in Clare.
The position will report to the European Logistics Manager and will be offered as a full-time, permanent on-site role with excellent benefits for the right candidate.
Scope of Position:
* Lead and coordinate the onsite logistics team, driving individual and team performance forward.
* Manage HR requirements, including recruitment, performance reviews, and employee training and development.
* Plan workload taking into account absences and job rotation across workstations, ensuring seamless operations.
* Anticipate and define human, financial, and technical needs in conjunction with site management teams.
* Supervise inbound/outbound flows for raw materials and finished goods, optimizing supply chain efficiency.
* Organize and execute inventory cycle counts according to the Finance team's schedule, maintaining accurate records.
* Liaise with internal Planning teams to ensure timely fulfillment of planned shipments, meeting customer expectations.
* Ensure timely order dispatch and delivery, resolving any issues promptly.
* Resolve issues with internal Sales teams regarding receiving, shipping, inventory, or documentation, providing solutions.
* Optimize freight routes to collect and deliver products efficiently and cost-effectively, reducing costs.
* Comply with safety regulations outlined in the Health and Safety Manual, maintaining a safe working environment.
Strategic Focus Areas:
* Maintain relationships with freight suppliers and negotiate best-in-class rates, securing value for money.
* Understand global Trade Tariffs' impact and report data to relevant Business Units, informing strategic decisions.
Requirements / Essential Skills / Attributes:

* Previous experience managing teams in fast-paced environments, driving growth and productivity.
* Attention to detail and numerical competency, with strong analytical skills.
* Inventory transaction management in ERP systems, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
* Fluency in spoken and written English, with excellent communication skills.
* Advanced PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with ability to learn new tools quickly.
* International trade knowledge and Customs procedures understanding, with ability to navigate complex regulations.
* Creative thinking to solve logistics challenges, with innovative problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills:
* Working knowledge of ERP systems (lot management, inventory moves, etc), with ability to adapt to new systems.
* Understanding of Sales Tax and Import Tax principles on global shipments, with ability to navigate complex tax laws.
