About the Role
The role is to be a member of the design team working on medium and large-scale projects. To provide support to the Designers and Operations team ensuring that the project information is up to date and any changes are highlighted to the Design Manager for review. Ensure that all information released by the Design office meets the project BIM protocols and Design office QA policies.
Responsibilities
* Maintaining a complete and up to date source of all project information, ensuring that documents are distributed to the right people promptly, and that contractual requirements and Management System requirements about project information management and approvals are complied with
* Project Weekly reports for External Clients
* Create and update Office Reports for Management internal reporting
* Filing of all reviewed drawings and related documents as per the office policies
* Distribution of hard and soft copy documents and drawings to internal and external project stakeholders promptly and accurately
* Remove, stamp and file appropriately the superseded drawings as they are presented
* Update the server with new information as it becomes available while hi-lighting to the Design Manager prior to adding to the project folder to ensure that any VO or delay is captured
* Log and tracks all outgoing RFI (Request for Information) and design team queries & Log and track all incoming responses for RFI
* Log a register of all noted design changes raised by the Design Manager to drawings and ensure this is kept up to date
* Liaising with all members of the construction team: Designers, Site Managers, Main Contractors and Subcontractors
* Update live drawings in office on drawing file and ensure most recent copies are always available
* Create and maintain various trackers and schedules
Key Skills Qualifications & Experience Requirements
* Relevant experience working with Document Control procedures and policies within a busy office environment
* Must be able to communicate articulately, positively and effectively
* A keen eye for detail, with particular attention to numbering systems
* Ability to prioritise workload
* Ability to multitask
* Be highly organised
* Be able to work well both within a team and individually
* Proficient in MS Office and IT literate
Desirable Criteria
* Past experience of working in a construction or engineering environment and knowledge/experience of electronic document management systems would be an advantage
