Kildare Company: Francis OKennedy & Co Job Type: Full-Time Reports To: Accounts/Tax Specialist About the Role: Francis OKennedy & Co are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with a strong background in payroll, tax compliance, and financial reporting. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the accounting/tax operations within firm and supporting our clients with expert financial guidance. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Management: Oversee and process payroll for multiple clients Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll legislation and deadlines. Manage payroll-related queries and reporting. Tax Compliance: Prepare and file returns for various tax heads including Income Tax, PAYE/PRSI, VAT, Corporation Tax and RCT. Liaise with Revenue and other regulatory bodies on behalf of clients. Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and advise clients accordingly. Accounts Preparation: Prepare financial statements to draft stage for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. Perform reconciliations, journal entries, and adjustments. Client Advisory: Provide financial insights and recommendations to clients. Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Team Collaboration: Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal processes and systems. Requirements: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent). Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role. Extensive experience in payroll processing and tax compliance. Strong knowledge of Irish tax legislation and accounting standards. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Bright, Bright Accounts, Bright Pay, or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
