Temporary Acting Finance Executive Officer Here at Osborne, we are recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation for an Acting Finance Executive Officer, to join its finance team on a temporary basis.
Reporting to the Financial Controller and Accountant, the Acting Finance Executive Officer will support the delivery of financial operations across the company, with particular responsibility for management accounting, budgeting and fixed asset administration.
Temporary Contract Immediate Start Location: Citywest, Co.
Dublin Duration: Until end of February **** (approximate) Hourly rate:€***** per hour Hours: 35 hours per week Monday Thursday 9am5:15pm & Friday 9am-5pm Travel: Due to the nature of the role, travel throughout Ireland will be required on occasion, including possible overnight stays Key Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and KPIs Budget preparation and on-going budgetary control Maintenance and administration of the Fixed Asset Register Preparation of financial returns and reports (monthly and quarterly) to the parent Department Assistance with year-end financial statements, audit files and balance sheet reconciliations Sales invoicing and management of debtors and creditors Journals, nominal ledgers, reconciliations and control accounts Preparation of RCT returns Provision of training and support on the Integra Accounting System Support the Financial Controller on ad-hoc projects as required Occasional travel to Regional Business Division offices and Head Office for meetings Qualifications and Experience: A recognised third-level qualification in a relevant discipline at NFQ Level 7 or equivalent is required Part Qualified Accountant / Accounting Technician or equivalent finance-related qualification Full Category B driving licence that is valid in Ireland is required Preparation of management accounts Fixed asset administration Strong working knowledge of financial management systems Advanced MS Excel skills Strong organisational, administrative and communication skills High attention to detail and strong analytical ability Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines Self-starter with initiative and problem-solving capability Experience or knowledge of public sector finance is desirable Working knowledge of the Integra Accounting System is desirable For more information, please apply through the link provided for the attention of Nicole Sinnott or email your cv to Nicole to If you are interested in finding out more about the above role and would like to be considered other suitable roles that we may have available for your skill set please attach your CV via the link provided.
