Job Title:
Mechanical Estimator
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the entire tendering process from initiation to conclusion, ensuring tenders are submitted and processed on time.
* Compile precise and well-organised estimates and proposals promptly, following up on tenders and documents, and recording any feedback.
* Negotiate prices with suppliers and sub-contractors, overseeing the maintenance of the cost database.
* Build relationships with key vendors (subcontractors, suppliers, engineers etc), issuing tender queries and preparing tender reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* 4+ years' experience working as an estimator with a mechanical contractor.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and at least one estimating platform.
* Attention to detail, high-quality standards, and excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills.
