Buying Coordinator
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buying Coordinator to join our clients team. In this role, you will support our buying and pricing operations, ensuring smooth supply chain processes, accurate product information, and effective communication between suppliers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders. You will play a key role in keeping our product range and pricing up to date, supporting both online and in-store operations.
Key Responsibilities
Buying & Supplier Coordination
* Raise, check, and manage all purchase orders, ensuring accurate terms and margins.
* Coordinate incoming orders to guarantee timely delivery through effective shipping management.
* Collaborate with suppliers to gather product information and communicate it to internal teams.
* Support sales and customer service teams by addressing special order queries and supplier issues.
* Work closely with marketing, eCommerce, and branch teams on new product launches.
* Maintain comprehensive vendor records and ensure all terms and pricing details are accurate.
* Provide regular reports on supplier performance, dispatch times, and other key metrics.
* Contribute to supply chain projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Pricing & Product Information
* Collect and upload product information into the Microsoft Dynamics ERP system.
* Update pricing, including special offers and promotions, ensuring accuracy across all channels.
* Provide specialist product and pricing insights to sales and operational teams.
* Communicate updates to internal stakeholders to maximise trading opportunities.
Skills & Attributes
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar buying, procurement, or pricing role.
* Highly organised with a disciplined approach and strong attention to detail.
* Strong commercial awareness and analytical problem-solving skills.
* Motivated, confident, and able to follow through to complete tasks efficiently.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (or similar ERP systems).
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
