Engineering Manager
Are you a Senior Engineer/Manager working closely with manufacturing and installation teams to help tender, design and install a range of industrial and commercial projects throughout Ireland and on the continent.
Due to continued growth in our clients business they are looking for an experienced and ambitious Engineer/Manager to manage a team, contribute and participate in the successful growth and expansion of a proven business.
Reporting to the company MD, this role will suit an experienced and ambitious engineer who wishes to contribute and participate in the successful growth and expansion of a proven business.
Key Areas :
* Manage a team of mechanical design engineers and navigate the complexities of client requirements, manufacture and site installation.
* Trouble shoot issues and requirements change.
* Manage a small multi-disciplinary team and ensure that all aspects of design and pre-site client requirements are in place.
* Liaise with Design and Manufacturing teams on potential issues, delays.
* Detailed knowledge and experience of a contracting environment.
* Experience and skills in AutoCAD 2D and 3D packages (Revit, Navisworks).
* Comfort and familiarity with a range of different IT packages.
* Organisational and planning capabilities to ensure that programme targets and timetables are met.
* Knowledge and familiarity with highest Health and Safety standards and protocols
Ideally you will have :
* Relevant third level mechanical /engineering qualification, together with appropriate CPD.
* A minimum of 5-7 years' post qualification experience.
* People management experience with small teams and in a multi-disciplinary environment.
* Good knowledge of steelwork fabrication, be comfortable with a range of design tools and packages such as CAD and Revit
