Job Description
This role manages the Maintenance Department resources to ensure equipment reliability, compliance with safety and quality standards. The production equipment is available when needed and delivers product per customer demand.
The Maintenance Operations Director will oversee maintenance activities, budget control, and inventory management for spare parts. This includes coaching and executing a preventive maintenance strategy using TPM, PM, and other industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance of production equipment on site
* Budget control and inventory management for maintenance spare parts
* Planning, scheduling, and coaching team members in TPM, Planned Maintenance & Root Cause Analysis techniques
* Analysing processes while maintaining efficiency at the highest level at the lowest possible cost consistent with prescribed quality standards
* Site maintenance KPIs and recommending improvements in methods, procedures, processes, equipment, and layout
* Managing vendors and consultants to ensure contracts contain appropriate technical specifications
* Compliance records of the Maintenance Department and supporting continuous improvement activities
* Contribution to site OEE ambition and delivery plans
* Asset replacement strategy ownership
Required Skills and Qualifications
A BSc in Engineering is required, along with 10 years of maintenance experience and 7 years minimum of supervisor or managerial roles. Additionally, CMMS knowledge (e.g. SAP), good written and communication skills to communicate with all company levels, root cause analysis knowledge, and presentation skills are necessary.
