We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager to join our leadership team. This is a standalone role, responsible for delivering a comprehensive human resources service across the organisation. You will work closely with the General Manager and the broader Management Team to lead the development and execution of the HR strategy, while also managing the day-to-day HR operations. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in a purpose-driven and culturally rich environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic HR LeadershipDevelop and implement a proactive HR strategy aligned with the organisation's mission, values, and business objectives.Lead on succession planning, talent management and employee retention strategies across all departments.Provide strategic HR input to organisational planning, change management, and workforce development.Operational HR ManagementAct as the first point of contact for all HR-related queries from employees and managers.Provide expert advice on employee relations, employment law, HR policies, procedures and best practice.Manage the recruitment process end-to-end: job design, advertising, shortlisting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding for both permanent and seasonal roles.Lead and support high-level recruitment campaigns, including international/EU recruitment for senior/niche roles.Design and implement robust selection and assessment processes, including competency-based interviews and evaluation criteria.Oversee employment contracts, offer letters, and HR documentation to ensure legal compliance.Maintain employee records in line with GDPR requirements and support implementation of new HR systems.Advise on and implement pay and reward processes including salary benchmarking, job evaluations, and seasonal/hourly rate setting in collaboration with Finance.Lead or support HR-related projects such as the rollout of a new HR system, T&A systemPromote and support a positive health & safety culture in collaboration with the organisation's H&S supplier.Promote and Support a Positive Work Culture:· Promote and support policies that foster inclusivity, respect, and employee well-being.· Lead by example in demonstrating ethical behaviour and professional integrity.· Design and support employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs.· Address workplace conflicts promptly and fairly to maintain a harmonious environment.· Provide training and development opportunities that support a culture of growth and collaboration.· Monitor employee satisfaction through surveys and feedback, using insights to guide improvements.Key RelationshipsInternal: The Board of the Trustees of Muckross House ( Killarny) CLG, General Manager, Department ManagersExternal: Recruitment agencies, legal advisors, HR and payroll software vendors, regulatory bodiesSkills & Experience RequiredEssential:Proven HR generalist experience (minimum 5 years) at a managerial or senior advisory levelStrong knowledge of Irish employment law, employee relations, GDPR and H&S best practiceExperience designing and delivering HR strategy in alignment with business objectivesProven ability to manage end-to-end recruitment including international/niche rolesSkilled in developing competency-based interview frameworks and selection processesDemonstrable experience in reward, salary benchmarking and workforce planningStrong interpersonal, influencing and coaching skills across all organisational levelsStrong communication and change management skillsDesirable:Previous experience in a Business or multi-disciplinary environmentExperience working with seasonal staff models or craft/trade-based employmentCIPD qualification or equivalent HR accreditationPersonal AttributesProactive and self-directed, with the ability to work independentlyStrong organisational and project management skillsTactful, diplomatic, and confidential in dealing with sensitive HR mattersWhat We OfferA unique opportunity to contribute to a respected cultural institutionOpportunities for professional development and impactRecommendation re Hours of work/Work pattern· Indicative hours: 25-40 hours per week, spread over 3–5 days, depending on preference and business requirements.
