Due to the continued expansion of Ryan Structural Steel we are seeking an experienced Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team.
We are looking for someone in both of our workshops. One based in Strokestown, Co. Roscommon and one based in Westport, Co. Mayo
Key Task Includes -
1. Coordinate all welding activities in line with CE Marking of steel products
2. Experience with MAG welding process
3. Single pass and multi pass welds.
4. Follow company welding procedures and specifications.
5. Adhering to quality control standards and inspections, repair of welds as necessary.
6. Cleaning and dressing welds (removing spatter, imperfections etc.) following weld completion.
7. Monitoring material stock levels.
Required Experience -
1. Minimum 2 years post apprentice experience in Metal fabrication
2. Self-motivated, with the ability to work and contribute effectively in a team environment.
3. Excellent communication skills
4. Ability to work well under pressure and within a strict deadline environment.
5. A background in construction
6. Ability to read fabrication drawings
7. Operate fabrication machinery and welding plants
