We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Assistant to provide administrative support for the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and post monthly journal entries in a timely manner
* Maintain accurate bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are properly recorded
* Coordinate and submit VAT and PAYE returns on time
* Assist in bringing accounts to full trial balance stage and reconcile any discrepancies
* Manage client account activity, including receipting and payment processing
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years experience in a financial or bookkeeping role, have a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial processes, be proficient in using Sage or similar accounting platforms, and demonstrate the ability to handle Revenue compliance around VAT/PAYE. They should be highly organized, accountable, and reliable, with excellent communication skills and a proven track record of working effectively within a team environment.
