Cross Agricultural Engineering are hiring a truck driver to deliver machines and demo machines. All deliveries will need to be set up and demonstrated for new customers. This will be part of the truck driving job and training will be provided. Some demos and deliveries will also be carried out in our 828 Fendt Tractor.

Cross Agricultural Engineering Ltd. are currently seeking a truck driver and machinery operator to deliver machinery. This is a full-time position and is based at the Cross factory in Rathangan Co. Kildare.
About the Company
Cross is a leading engineering company who specialize in the design and manufacturing of farm, biogas, commercial, and food processing machinery. We currently deliver all our own machinery to customers and would like to continue providing that service. We also attend 5 trade shows in the UK and 2 in Ireland per year. We would like a truck driver to bring the machines to these trade shows and help us set up the stands (this area of the job will not take place until further notice because of trade shows being cancelled due to Covid-19).
About the Job
At Cross, we pride ourselves in offering top-of-the-range equipment to our drivers. The new driver will be using a Volvo FH Globetrotter and a stretchable Nooteboom trailer.
Responsibilities
1. Delivering machines Ireland wide to customers.
2. Delivering machines UK wide to customers.
3. Delivering machines to mainland Europe to customers.
4. Delivering to trade shows such as The Ploughing, Royal Welsh Show, Royal Highland Show, Agritechnica, etc.
5. Delivering machines with our Demo tractor (machines that don't fit on the truck).
6. Driving the company van to collect parts in Dublin for the factory.
7. Setting up show stands with other staff when you get to the show.
Compensation
At Cross, we agree on payment at the interview stage. We can confirm that this is a very generous salary. The job also comes with a company credit card to pay for any food when out in the truck and pay for truck stops (the driver will never sleep on the side of a road).
Requirements
1. Full artic licence.
2. CPC up to date.
3. Mechanical experience with machinery is an advantage but not essential.
4. Low loader experience is an advantage but not essential.
5. History of tying down loads is an advantage but not essential.
6. Must be comfortable with driving very large tractors.
