Senior Social Worker The Senior Social Worker will provide a high-quality, child- and family-centred social work service as part of an interdisciplinary Childrens Disability Network Team (CDNT), supporting children with complex needs and their families. The Senior Social Worker will provide leadership, clinical supervision, and mentoring to social work colleagues and contribute to the development of services within the CDNT. This will position is based in Navan. Responsibilities of Senior Social Worker Deliver a comprehensive social work service to children aged 018 with complex disabilities and their families. Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop family-centred support plans. Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team using a key worker approach. Provide therapeutic interventions, including family support, crisis intervention, child protection work, and counselling where appropriate. Liaise with external agencies, including Tusla, schools, and community services. Provide support to families during transitions (e.g., preschool to school, school to adult services). Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to basic grade social workers. Act as a resource and provide consultation to team members regarding social work issues. Contribute to the induction and training of new staff and students. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team development. Contribute to service planning, development, evaluation, and quality assurance initiatives. Participate in CDNT governance structures, including team meetings, service user engagement, and reporting. Ensure compliance with policies, standards, legislation, and codes of practice. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in accordance with GDPR and CORU standards. Requirements of Senior Social Worker A recognised Social Work qualification (NQSW or equivalent). Registration with CORU as a Social Worker. A minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience, including experience working with children and families.
