Job Opportunity: Credit Analyst Senior Officer
We are seeking an experienced credit analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong analytical background and excellent communication skills.
This is a senior level role that requires the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide high-quality recommendations.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of financial markets, instruments, and risk management techniques. They will also be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
Key responsibilities include:
* Interpreting capital structures and liquidity profiles of companies to assess their financial health
* Calculating key credit metrics and leverage ratios to assess the creditworthiness of companies
* Assisting in the onboarding and monitoring of new companies by analyzing financial statements, lender presentations, and compliance certificates
* Reviewing and assessing financial data sets to identify trends and potential risks
* Liaising with internal teams to address credit and financial queries, ensuring effective communication and collaboration
Required Skills and Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess:
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
* 5 years of relevant experience in finance, credit analysis, or a related area (internships or co-op experience will be considered)
* Strong analytical skills with a foundational understanding of financial statement analysis, fundamental data, and credit mechanisms
* Proficiency in calculations and ratios used to assess the creditworthiness of companies
* Knowledge of capital structures and liquidity profiles
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with financial modeling concepts
* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
