What You'll DoThe Maintenance Technician is part of the Maintenance team and is critical to production efficiency, safety and plant improvements.
The Maintenance Technician is familiar with plant, equipment and instruments in use.Here are the functions and duties of a Maintenance Technician.Preventative Maintenance (PM)Develops PM schedules for plant and equipment along with Maintenance ManagerDevelops spare parts list for plant and equipment, along with Maintenance ManagerCarries out PM work according to PM scheduleHighlights any recurring issues to Maintenance ManagerLiaises with Maintenance Manager on purchase of spare partsBreakdown MaintenanceResponds to breakdown and seeks to repair Plant/Equipment as soon as possible, within safety guidelines, to optimise production efficiencyGives feedback on breakdowns to Maintenance Manager, to assist in developing PM schedules and feedback to production personnel as necessaryProjectsAs part of Maintenance team, gives input into new Plant/Equipment purchases as requestedHelps in commissioning of new Plant/Equipment as requiredLearns new equipment, and assists in development of PM schedules for new equipment as requiredWork with contractors and external service technicians as requiredMaintains Health and Safety standardsCarries out all work with regard to personal safety and that of all employeesReports any unsafe conditions to Maintenance Manager in timely fashionSeeks ways to improve Plant/Equipment and site safetyGeneralUndertakes training on new Plant/Equipment as requiredAttends site meetings, engineering reviews as requiredSupports external, customer and internal audits, so optimum results are achievedSupports in cost control measures on site What You'll BringIn short you should be a competent Electrician/Technician with Factory experience Requirements:Relevant Mechanical qualifications or experience essential - pneumatics, hydraulicsRelevant Electrical qualifications or experience essential - PCB's, PLC's, instrumentationPrevious experience in food facility desirable Note: Only applicants with existing legal rights to work in Ireland can be considered.
