At our C&D Foods site in Edgeworthstown, Co. Longford, we are seeking a passionate Graduate Environmental Officer to join our team and contribute towards our sustainability goals and environmental management initiatives.
The Graduate Environmental Officer will receive training to effectively complete the following responsibilities, with a clear career progression path to Site Environmental Officer.
* Monitoring the carbon footprint and driving overall sustainability of the business.
Responsibilities include:
* Monitoring the wastewater treatment plant daily on-site.
* Participating in projects aimed at reducing the carbon footprint through capital investments and continuous improvements.
* Collaborating with the engineering department on daily operations and sustainability initiatives.
* Working with the production department on operational and sustainability aspects.
* Engaging with group sustainability efforts within C&D and the wider ABP Group.
* Monitoring environmental emissions parameters as per the site's EPA license.
* Carrying out sampling programmes for discharges.
* Analyzing energy and water data to identify trends and opportunities for reduction.
* Maintaining environmental, waste, and energy documentation.
* Coordinating infrastructural improvements related to environmental equipment with contractors.
* liaising with environmental regulatory bodies such as the EPA, especially during audits.
* Ensuring compliance with environmental and energy legislation.
* Managing noise and pollution control measures.
* Identifying water and energy reduction projects around the site.
* Presenting the site's overall sustainability performance to management.
* Maintaining ISO14001 & ISO50001 standards compliance.
Qualifications:
3rd Level Qualification in relevant disciplines such as:
