- Can be based in either Dublin or Cork Join a dedicated civil engineering team delivering services from feasibility through to construction across a wide range of electricity and energy infrastructure projects.These projects support the decarbonisation of electricity networks, the delivery of resilient infrastructure, and the successful execution of complex engineering solutions for major clients.The portfolio of work includes new build projects, remedial works to existing assets, and the development of renewable energy projects in Ireland and internationally.Projects span buildings, power stations, electrical infrastructure, and large macro-infrastructure such as dams.The team specialises in: Providing civil, drainage, and hydrological technical engineering services for project work packages.Designing surface water drainage systems for urban and rural developments, including the appropriate use of Sustainable Drainage Systems (Su DS).Carrying out Flood Risk Assessments and hydrological studies (e.g.Section 50 Applications).Key Responsibilities Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of the role.Provide civil, drainage, and water engineering technical services and design capability from concept and detailed design through to procurement and delivery of engineering works.Manage and coordinate all relevant civil, drainage, and water engineering activities, including associated disciplines, to deliver projects to approved scope, budget, and programme.Manage civil works contracts where required.Carry out site inspections, arrange surveys, analyse gathered information, and produce effective drainage designs.Coordinate proactively with other disciplines to deliver high-quality projects that meet client requirements.Ensure compliance with all planning permission and licensing conditions.Liaise with relevant statutory authorities and key stakeholders.Knowledge, Skills and Experience Essential Minimum of 7 years relevant experience.Strong technical capability in civil, drainage, and water engineering design, with the ability to deliver civil/structural, drainage, and water engineering packages.Experience using specialist hydrological, hydraulic, or drainage modelling software.Proven ability to assess, communicate, and manage project-critical technical risks.Demonstrated experience managing significant projects or key elements of major projects.Strong report-writing skills.A proactive, solutions-focused (can-do) attitude when working with internal and external stakeholders.Desirable Strong commercial and project management capability.Experience managing surface and/or groundwater contamination.Ability to identify project requirements and initiate work with limited oversight.Experience performing the PSDP/PD role on projects.Qualifications Essential Full driving licence and access to a car.Level 8 Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.Desirable Level 9 Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
