The Project Manager will act as the Contracting Entity’s representative, taking responsibility for managing the project from planning and design through to successful completion and commissioning. The Project Manager is responsible for delivering the project on time, within budget, and to specifications, ensuring all project goals and objectives are met in accordance with the employer’s requirements and strategic portfolio goals.
Supervise construction, completion, and handover of building works according to the defined quality standards and specifications outlined in individual Contracts, particularly for noise insulation in privately owned properties and schools, ensuring high standards of Health and Safety and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
1. Oversee and monitor project delivery, including schedule, interface, cost, variations, contract, and risk management.
2. Coordinate with relevant team members and functions.
3. Develop and implement the Project Execution Plan aligned with standards and methods.
4. Manage relationships with stakeholders, including the Airport Transformation Manager.
Project Management Activities
* Issue and evaluate tenders, presenting recommendations to senior management.
* Coordinate project phases, ensuring interface considerations are addressed.
* Maintain project task trackers and risk registers.
* Manage design consultants and external service providers.
* Organize design review meetings and communicate design acceptance.
* Report on project tasks and progress monthly.
* Manage change control processes and project information flow.
* Oversee site works, ensuring compliance with contracts and specifications.
* Review and approve method statements and proposals.
* Collect and review project guarantees, record drawings, and manuals upon completion.
* Maintain detailed site and project records.
Qualifications
* Minimum 12 years of experience in Construction/Infrastructure, preferably including aviation projects.
* Experience with E-Tenders and procurement.
* Experience working on-site and managing construction projects.
* Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BIM, SharePoint, and database management.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
* Knowledge of Engineering and Project Management Principles.
* Experience with Oracle Primavera 6 or similar scheduling tools.
