We're currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity with a Pharmaceutical organisation based in Dublin.
An exceptional opportunity for an experienced EHS Specialist to join the Environmental Health & Safety team. The role will be responsible for providing technical guidance to the site as well as ongoing projects to ensure compliance with all relevant legal requirements related to safety as well as the company's corporate standards, policies, procedures and guidelines and industry best practices.
Duties:
1. SME support in General Safety and High Risk Work Programs.
2. SME support in Environmental Programs (Air, water, waste).
3. Provide safety support for new ongoing and new projects
4. Participate in local safety teams, audits and inspections, incident investigations, and other safety programs as required.
5. EHS representative for risk assessments, change management impact assessments, training delivery, and contractor management.
6. EHS Assessment and auditing of EHS process and systems in line with company's Global Safety and Environment Standards.
7. Report out weekly to management and department teams on KPIs in line with EHS objectives/targets (planned vs. actual performance
8. Serve as a leader in demonstrating and implementing a strong EHS culture across the site
9. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record to influence others, have strong knowledge of safety programs and be a convincing communicator with strong interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is a self-directed, technically strong individual who can work in a multi-functionary team environment.
Education and Experience:
10. Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering or related Safety or Environmental field of study.
11. +7 years of EHS, Engineering, or Operational experience in chemical, pharmaceutical, biochemical, petrochemical, or process related industry.
12. In Depth Knowledge of Irish H&S and Environmental Legislation and regulations
13. High Risk Work program (Electrical safety, LOTO, Hot work, confined space etc) and Contractor Management experience beneficial
14. Ability to maintain focus on key goals and priorities, but also analyse the detail to facilitate problem resolution and ensure project success
15. Proven record of success in the EHS sector.
16. Experience on supporting multiple activities/projects.
17. Experience in managing and implementing change.
18. Strong ability to influence others across departments and at all levels of the organization.
