Local SEO Manager Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Local SEO Manager to join our team. As a key member of our digital marketing department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a robust local SEO strategy across all brand site listings.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement a local SEO strategy across all brand site listings.
* Manage and optimise listings across maps, search engines, voice assistants, directories, and more.
* Ensure consistency of business information across all platforms.
* Conduct in-depth local keyword research aligned with business goals.
* Leverage platforms such as Yext or similar for scalable local SEO management.
Group Website & Technical SEO:
* Lead technical SEO efforts across group websites, including audits, crawlability, URL structures, metadata, etc.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, customer care, operations, and brand teams.
* Support backlink building and content strategy to drive organic growth.
* Keep websites optimised for core web vitals and search engine best practices.
SEO Strategy Development & Oversight:
* Stay current with emerging SEO trends, tools, and algorithms.
* Manage external SEO agencies and ensure deliverables align with internal goals.
* Analyse SEO campaign effectiveness and identify new growth opportunities.
Reporting & Insights:
* Use tools such as Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Moz, etc. to track, report, and optimise performance.
* Monitor competitor activity and keyword positioning.
* Provide regular updates and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders.
* Evaluate the impact of SEO strategies on both online traffic and in-store footfall.
Essential Requirements:
* 4+ years in a digital or SEO-focused role.
* Strong understanding of local SEO principles and best practices.
* Proficiency in SEO tools like SEMrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, Yext, etc.
* Hands-on experience with Google Analytics, Search Console, Google My Business, and Apple Business Connect.
* Technical knowledge of HTML, CSS, and general website architecture.
* Experience managing SEO in competitive sectors such as ecommerce, hospitality, or retail.
* Familiarity with SEO for voice-activated platforms (e.g., Alexa, Siri).
