Role Purpose: To deliver expert physiotherapy services to patients presenting with a range of musculoskeletal injuries in a Minor Injuries Unit. This includes timely assessment, evidence-based interventions, and contribution to discharge planning and rehabilitation to support optimal recovery and functional independence. Key Responsibilities: Assess and manage a diverse caseload of patients presenting with acute MSK injuries including fractures, sprains, soft tissue injuries, and post-trauma rehabilitation. Provide timely and effective physiotherapy interventions tailored to individual clinical needs. Collaborate with emergency medicine, nursing, radiology, and rehabilitation teams to ensure efficient and high-quality patient care. Participate in triage, care planning, and discharge coordination to streamline the patient journey. Provide leadership and clinical guidance to junior physiotherapy colleagues and students as required. Maintain detailed and accurate clinical documentation in line with professional standards. Participate in quality improvement, audit, and service development initiatives. Contribute to health promotion and injury prevention education where appropriate. Essential Criteria: BSc or MSc in Physiotherapy. CORU registration (essential). Minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience, including strong musculoskeletal physiotherapy experience. Proven ability to work autonomously in a clinical environment. Experience in an acute or emergency setting is desirable but not essential.
