SAR Technical Crew Cadet

Join Bristow Group to work as an Advanced Paramedic cadet at Irish bases (Weston, Shannon, Waterford, Sligo). Four cadetships are available, providing year‑long training and the opportunity for permanent placement, additional training, career progression and financial advancement.

Key Responsibilities

* Comply with regulations and procedures in the Operations and Clinical Governance Manuals.
* Immediately inform the SAR commander of any issue that may affect helicopter readiness or equipment.
* Prepare the aircraft medical equipment before each flight.
* Administer medical treatment to survivors within the agreed scope of practice.
* Operate the Mission Management System and mission equipment as required.
* Assume medical leadership during pre‑hospital emergency care within a multi‑agency team.
* Demonstrate excellent Crew Resource Management and communication to facilitate SAR and HEMS missions.
* Maintain good physical condition at all times.
* Participate in the pre‑flight brief and post‑flight debrief.

Essential Requirements

* Right to permanently live and work in Ireland.
* PHECC registered Advanced Paramedic.
* Full EU driving licence.
* Availability to commence employment in February 2026.
* Leaving Certificate with 6 subjects; minimum grades of O5 in English and Mathematics or H6 at higher level and two higher level subjects with a minimum of H5.
* Current passport holder.
* Ability to hold EASA Class 2 medical.

Work location will be at the required base during training, with longer‑term opportunities across all Irish bases. The role requires variable hours and 24‑hour duty shifts during training and operation. Internal vacancies are routine but may take years to fill at a specific base.
