Pinewood Healthcare is a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of healthcare products, employing over 320 people across Tipperary and Dublin. Established in 1976, it originally served the renal care market in Ireland and is now part of the Wockhardt Group, an Indian pharmaceutical and biotechnology company.
Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
* Coordinate all environment, health & safety, and security matters at Ballymacarbry and Ballymount sites.
* Promote health, safety, and welfare at work.
* Ensure compliance with policies and legislative requirements.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, and implement preventative measures.
* Provide EHS training as required.
* Review and recommend health and safety policies.
* Set and achieve environmental objectives and targets.
* Implement safe systems of work and risk assessments.
* Manage inspections, audits, and liaise with authorities.
* Develop emergency policies and ensure safety data sheets are current.
* Manage environmental licenses, certifications, and reporting.
* Support during audits and ensure legal compliance across the organization.
* Oversee first aid provisions and conduct site inductions for new starters.
* Develop process safety management strategies and manage hygiene campaigns.
Academic / Experience Requirements:
* Formal H&S qualification, minimum degree level.
* Extensive knowledge of H&S legislation, process safety, and environmental laws.
* Strong interpersonal, communication, and Microsoft skills.
* Ability to advise on operational EHS issues and promote safety culture.
