Finance Manager
to take ownership of the company's day-to-day financial operations and support the CFO in maintaining financial health and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero, including bank, Cards and POS systems reconciliations, accounts Payable/Receivable, invoicing, expense tracking, ensuring accurate integration and reporting.
* Prepare and file VAT returns and ensure full compliance with Irish tax and accounting regulations.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, cash flow statements, and financial reports for review with the CFO.
* Process payroll and ensure PAYE and statutory filings are completed accurately and on time.
* Liaise with suppliers, clients, and the external accountant to ensure smooth and accurate financial operations.
* Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
* Maintain full control of the financial systems and reporting that underpin the business.
* Continuously improve financial processes, controls, and reporting to support ongoing growth.
About You
Well organised, able to take ownership and initiative, enjoys working collaboratively with operational teams in a hands-on and dynamic environment. Passionate about continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience
* Minimum 5 years of experience in finance management and accounting within a growing business.
* Experience in managing finances for a SME, ideally with retail outlets spanning across multiple sites, that went through rapid growth stages and investment rounds.
* Strong hands-on working experience of VAT, payroll, and tax compliance in Ireland.
* Proficient in one of the following accounting systems: Xero (preferred), SAGE 50, QuickBooks, SAP or Surf Accounts/BrightBooks.
* Proven track record of ownership and accountability, with ability to plan and control own workload.
* Good track record of making key financial decisions for a growing business.
* Partial of full Accounting qualification (IATI, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
* Right to work in Ireland (Work Permit Sponsorship is not available).
* Ability to work from the office location in Dublin 2.
