At Honan and Associates we provide diagnostic assessment across the life span for those seeking assessment in relation to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). We also provide follow up counselling, behaviour support and skills training in a range of settings. In addition to working with individuals we provide training and workshops in schools, disability services and workplaces.
Job description
Currently, we are seeking an Occupational Therapist to complement our team.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Occupational Therapists who have relevant experience in assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and providing on-going support post-assessment.
Essential criteria
* Applicants must have the appropriate professional accreditation which is recognised in Ireland and allows them to be registered as an Occupational therapist with CORU
* Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years, post qualification experience working with children and adults with neurodevelopmental conditions.
* Good organisational, problem solving, decision making and communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
* A kind and caring manner.
The successful candidate will be expected to perform a range of duties as outlined below:
* To work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) assessments in line with best practice guidelines.
* To provide sensory assessments for both children and adults
* To coordinate with other team members including Assistant Psychologists and Behaviour Specialists where necessary in the completion of assessments.
* To provide on-going support to clients and their families.
* To manage their caseload in an efficient manner.
