Clinical Nurse Manager Job Description
The Endoscopy Unit Clinical Lead is responsible for overseeing the coordination and management of activity and resources, ensuring a safe, quality-assured, efficient service for patients and healthcare professionals.
Main Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
* Deliver high-quality patient care using evidence-based care planning approaches to meet individual needs.
* Motivate and lead nursing staff to ensure a safe working environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
* Ensure adherence to guidelines, policies, and protocols related to medication management and infection control.
* Facilitate collaboration across healthcare teams, managing resource allocation effectively.
* Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives, leading accreditation processes to drive excellence in patient care.
Leadership & Management:
* Supervise and coordinate nursing and support staff to optimize patient care delivery.
* Manage resources efficiently, prioritizing tasks and allocating personnel accordingly.
* Lead practice development, implementing change strategies to improve workflows and services.
* Promote policy development and monitoring, supporting senior leadership in driving strategic objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
* A registered general nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) is essential.
* At least 2 years' experience in a management role within a busy endoscopy service is required.
* Previous experience in private healthcare settings and JAG accreditation would be advantageous.
