The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to work with our Business Systems team. As part of this team, you'll be responsible for internal platform improvements that are driven by the needs of the business and internal systems stakeholders. You will work with a newly formed, highly skilled and growing team, working on high impact projects such as billing system improvements and providing quality data to our internal CX teams and ensuring data integrity across systems and the platform.
Successful candidates will be technically minded, can understand the "big picture" but love "getting in the weeds."
What You'll Do
* Contribute to and refine the strategic product roadmap for our internal systems, in collaboration with Engineering Leads, working on mid-term goals with a 3-9 month horizon.
* Collaboratively work with the Business Systems team, shaping the vision and direction of our internal platform, driving improvements and features to streamline processes, enhance data accessibility and serve insights for our staff to grow and support our clients.
* Identify and propose new initiatives with minimal guidance and work independently to achieve the defined goals.
* Actively meet with clients to stay current on market trends and understand their needs and how salons operate, as well as internal stakeholders.
* Utilise insights from customer visits, user/market research, and competitor analysis to propose feature enhancements or new functionality.
* Utilise insights from internal teams and business stakeholders, understanding business operational processes.
* Define product KPIs and monitor mid-term impacts, being accountable for the business impact of your products and steady-state product performance monitoring.
* Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify problems and opportunities, summarising core issues and making data-driven recommendations.
* Clearly communicate the value proposition, impact, and strategic fit of your product to various audiences, including teams, business stakeholders, and clients.
* Work with Product and Development teams, as well as other departments in the company, in business critical strategic initiatives which your teams drive.
Who You Are
* 2+ years of Product Management experience in software development.
* Technically minded, a software engineering background is helpful but not required.
* Proven ability to work with stakeholders in order to understand complex business problems and propose potential solutions.
* Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
* Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders independently, ensuring support and building trust.
* Clear communication skills that promote collaboration and clarity, articulating important details and messaging appropriately for different audiences.
* Comfortable interacting with clients.
* Experience in assessing risk vs. reward when making product recommendations and decisions.
* Experience with usage data and identifying points for improvement.
* A can-do attitude with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn.
* Ability to thrive in an ambiguous environment with a high degree of autonomy.
