Future Cast seeks to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Project Coordinator with a background in civil and/or structural engineering to support the delivery of this project. The appointed individual will provide project coordination services throughout the design and planning stages and will support compliance with relevant statutory obligations, including those under Health and Safety legislation and Public Works Contract (PWC) conditions.
The role will include supporting the Design Team, liaising with statutory bodies, and assisting in the discharge of duties associated with the Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP) as required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013.
The project coordinator will be expected to work collaboratively with the Chief Executive and other Future Cast staff on this and other projects funded through Enterprise Ireland, other exchequer funding and/or EU funded programmes.
The role is expected to cover the duration of the design and planning stages with potential for extension into the construction stage subject to funding and project needs. The initial contract will be for 1 Year only - Future Cast reserves the right to extend the contract for further periods of 1 Year up to a maximum of 3 extensions bringing the total maximum period to 4 Years. (this is funding dependent)
Duties and Responsibilities:
Will include but are not limited to:
· Coordinate project design and documentation activities in collaboration with the Design Team and client representatives.
· Assist in the preparation of project plans, feasibility assessments, and statutory submissions.
· Support the implementation and monitoring of project programmes, budgets, and quality control measures.
· Facilitate communication between stakeholders including contractors, consultants, and client teams.
· Assist in the discharge of PSDP duties including compilation of Preliminary Health and Safety Plans and Design Risk Assessments.
· Monitor compliance with BCAR, planning conditions, and other regulatory frameworks as required.
· Review technical documentation including drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
· Attend site visits, design team meetings, and progress reviews as required.
· Additional Duties as directed by the Chief Executive Future Cast
· Procuring Consultancy services for the finalisation of plans if funding is approved for the build phase.
· Dealing with the Building Contractors during all build phase of the project.
Education:
Degree (Level 8 NFQ) in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent discipline. Essential
Experience:
Minimum 3 years' experience in project coordination or project engineering in construction or infrastructure.
Understanding of civil and structural engineering principles and construction practices.
Demonstrated ability to support procurement, tendering, and contractor management.
Completion of recognised PSDP training course (e.g. Engineers Ireland, CIF, IOSH-accredited)
Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD or equivalent; familiarity with BIM and project planning tools.
Valid Safe Pass and understanding of safety procedures and design-stage risk elimination.
Knowledge of BCAR, Construction Regulations, and Public Works Health & Safety protocols.
Familiarity with Irish planning processes, Building Regulations, BCAR, and Health & Safety legislation.
Full Irish Driving License
