The Team and Role:
As part of our Software organization, you'll own Options+ and other apps used by millions of users every day. You'll drive the team and app, identifying, defining, launching, and maintaining features that enable new interaction experiences for our range of devices.
Your Contribution:
1. Strategy: Define and communicate software product vision & strategy, aligning it with business goals, user needs, and market trends.
2. Roadmap: Create and own roadmap with main milestones, features, and releases, prioritizing features considering customer needs, market demand, technical feasibility, resource availability, and business priorities.
3. Team Leadership: Manage and inspire a team of software product managers to meet project goals, deadlines, and quality standards.
4. Requirements: Define software PRDs working closely with stakeholders, including device product managers, UX, business & product teams, and users.
5. Cross-functional leadership: Work closely with design, development, marketing, sales, and CX, ensuring alignment, gathering feedback, and making informed decisions regarding product features, positioning, and go-to-market.
6. Product Ownership: Act as Product Owner during the agile process for certain projects, documenting user stories, use cases, and functional specifications, ensuring clear communication of requirements to the development team.
7. GtM: Collaborate with Product Marketing, Communications, and Customer Support teams to successfully launch & maintain products & features.
8. Performance: Monitor product performance and conduct ongoing analysis, analyzing metrics, gathering user feedback to identify areas for improvement and guide future enhancements, tracking KPIs and using data-driven insights to make informed decisions for product optimization, feature enhancements, and bug fixes.
9. Market & Competitors: Understand best-in-class solutions currently on the market and drive improvements, staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings.
Key Qualifications:
To succeed, you must bring:
1. Lives and breathes technology - knows about all the latest consumer tech trends.
2. 8+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager or similar role in a fast-paced, technology-driven organization, with a background in hardware &/or software.
3. Proven leadership experience, managing other software product managers.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills (oral, written, and presentation), articulating complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
5. Self-starter with high self-motivation, navigating ambiguity and providing pragmatic solutions.
6. Ability to work and lead cross-functional teams of product managers, engineers, designers, and other stakeholders.
7. Experience driving product strategy, developing roadmaps, and bringing innovative products to market.
8. Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs and market insights into product requirements.
9. Excellent project management and organizational skills, managing multiple projects simultaneously.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, taking a data-driven and user-centered approach to decision-making.
Preferred Skills and Behaviors include:
1. Experience in product marketing and/or UX design.
2. Strong technical background with deep understanding of software development processes and methodologies.
3. Familiarity with digital device businesses (e.g.: PC & mobile industry) and its challenges and trends.
4. Worked with globally distributed organizations.
Education:
1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
2. MBA or business-related degree a plus.
