We're now seeking a hands-on, people-focused leader to take charge of our Personal Lines operations — inspiring a high-performing team, improving processes, and helping us reach new levels of excellence.
This is a visible role where you'll combine leadership, coaching, and operational delivery. You'll set the tone, lead from the front, and shape how our brokerage continues to grow.
The Role
1. Lead & Inspire
* Be the visible leader in the office — motivate, support, and develop your team every day.
* Lead by example: handle escalations and show what great service looks like in action.
* Run daily huddles and one-to-ones focused on performance, development, and accountability.
* Build a culture of pride, positivity, and customer obsession.
* Recognise great work and address underperformance early and fairly.
2. Deliver Operational Excellence
* Oversee all personal lines activity — new business, renewals, MTAs, and claims.
* Ensure SLAs are met and customer outcomes are consistently excellent.
* Maintain strong MI and compliance reporting.
* Streamline processes to improve both efficiency and customer experience.
* Keep the team focused, supported, and delivering results.
3. Drive Commercial Performance
* Maintain and grow our strong retention rate.
* Support cross-sell and up-sell activity to give clients the right cover at the right time.
* Work closely with insurers to resolve issues and improve service turnaround times.
* Monitor commercial margins and drive smart, customer-focused growth.
4. Uphold Compliance & Quality
* Ensure full adherence to Central Bank of Ireland regulations and internal standards.
* Lead QA reviews and coach continuous improvement.
* Manage complaints fairly and use insights to prevent recurrence.
* Maintain documentation and data protection standards.
* Manage EDI audits and document register with the admin team
5. Develop the Team
* Oversee recruitment, induction, and ongoing training.
* Foster a collaborative, supportive environment where people enjoy coming to work.
* Encourage professional development (APA/CIP progression supported).
* Promote accountability, teamwork, and shared success.
* Review where the business will need new employees in the future and plan their recruitment
* Work with our apprentice's on our apprentice scheme and ensure smooth development
About You
* CIP-qualified (or working toward it).
* Deep knowledge of personal lines broking – new business, renewals, MTAs, and claims.
* 7–10 years' insurance experience, including team lead or supervisory responsibility.
* Strong understanding of compliance and regulation.
* Experienced using MI/data to drive performance.
* Calm, organised, and confident under pressure.
* Excellent communicator who leads by example and builds trust.
* Tech-savvy with broking systems, insurer portals, and Excel/MI tools.

The Package
Salary: €45,000–€60,000 DOE
Bonus: 10–15% performance-linked (retention, SLAs, quality, and engagement)
