The successful appointee is responsible for the effective and efficient operation, and further development, of a comprehensive range of services to persons with intellectual disability, and their families, in the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland South East Region.
The Director of Services has a particular responsibility to give leadership with regard to the promotion and realisation of the Brothers of Charity Services Vision, Mission and Ethos throughout the region, in relationships with other organisations and statutory bodies, and in dealings with the wider community.
Relationships with service users is a core value of the Services.
To do this the Director of Services maintains direct personal contact with people with intellectual disability in all areas of the Services, including the Advocacy Council, as it is a primary inspiration of the values and leadership style to which we aspire.
The Director of Services is required to develop and manage relationships with the HSE, Government Departments and other relevant organisations; handle complex and sensitive issues and positively represent the Brothers of Charity Services Ireland.
He/she provides leadership, vision and a dynamic approach to developing and implementing strategies which will enhance the quality of services delivered.
He/she is responsible for the effective management of all operational budgets, and for leading, developing and motivating the senior management team.
The Director of Services will also be a member of the National Leadership Team (NLT) and will assume a leadership role in all future structural changes.
