We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading Main Contractor with over a century of active presence in the construction industry for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Galway. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established, expanding team working on a variety of prestigious, high-value projects. Responsibilities Reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will assume the role of Commercial Lead on designated projects. Your duties will include: Managing the production of monthly Value Cost Reconciliation and forecasting reports. Preparing internal and external project cashflow information and managing monthly project Payment Claims. Managing Change Control, including the identification, quantification, and negotiation of variations, as well as delay and disruption effects. Liaising with Clients and Design Teams, and administering contract provisions regarding notifications and compliance. Procuring subcontractors and suppliers, compiling sub-contracts, negotiating final accounts, and managing ongoing commercial aspects. Requirements Minimum of 8 years experience in a Quantity Surveying role. Degree in Quantity Surveying. Proven track record working on high-quality medium and large-scale projects across sectors such as Industrial, Health, Pharma, Commercial, and Education. Commercially astute with experience administering RIAI, GCC, and Bespoke forms of contract. IT literate; experience with Cubit, CostX, and COINS software packages is highly preferable. Excellent negotiation and communication skills are essential for dealing with clients and design teams. A full driver's license is required.
