I am working with a company to hire a Bookkeeper for their Dublin 18 office. This is a permanent and role is office based. Candidates must have 1+ years experience in a similar role in ROI and an EU Passport or a valid Stamp 4 Visa.
Job Purpose:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing day-to-day transactions, and supporting key finance operations in line with Irish accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain accurate books and records including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
2. Process supplier and customer invoices
3. Manage bank reconciliations and cash flow monitoring
4. Prepare and file VAT returns and other Revenue submissions (e.g., PAYE, RCT if applicable)
5. Support payroll processes and record employee expenses
6. Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts and financial reports
7. Liaise with external accountants, Revenue, and other relevant parties as needed
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant Irish tax and financial regulations
9. Provide ad hoc financial administration support to the wider team
Requirements:
Essential:
10. Proven experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role
11. Working knowledge of Irish tax systems including VAT and PAYE
12. Strong Excel and general IT skills
13. Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
14. Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Desirable:
15. Accounting Technician (ATI) or part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CPA, etc.)
16. Experience in a SME or multi-tasking finance environment
17. Familiarity with Revenue Online Service (ROS)
18. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, Surf Accounts, QuickBooks)
