We are recruiting for Residential Rehabilitation Assistants to join our team at Acquired Brain Injury Ireland. This role provides an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of others and be fulfilled.
About the Role
The Residential Rehabilitation Assistant will support and assist people with acquired brain injury on every aspect of activities of daily living, enabling them to live valued lives of optimal independence and participation in activities within the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Form a therapeutic relationship and rapport with individuals served and maintain a positive, constructive, and professional relationship.
* Facilitate and coordinate the daily independence of individuals served within the service/community by working with them and their family in formulating Individual Rehabilitation Plans (IRPs).
* Assist and encourage individuals served to achieve their goals as identified in their IRPs.
* Support individuals with budgeting, money management, and disability benefits where applicable, in line with Organisational policy.
* Record and document daily activities, reports, and reviews via the iPlanit system.
Requirements
* A relevant Health or Social Care qualification to a minimum QQI Level 5 standard.
* A full driving licence.
* A person-centred approach to supporting people with acquired brain injury.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to write and speak English to a high standard.
* Good IT skills.
