**Senior Buyer Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Manager to join our client's team in Cork, Ireland.
The successful candidate will develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and value creation.
Key responsibilities include:
* Strategic Procurement: Developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with business objectives.
* Supplier Management: Building strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating favorable terms.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Maintaining positive relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
* Cost Control: Identifying cost-saving opportunities and managing budgets effectively.
* Market Analysis: Monitoring market trends and competitor strategies to inform procurement decisions.
* Inventory Oversight: Tracking inventory levels and reviewing supplier deliveries.
* Compliance Assurance: Ensuring procurement activities adhere to company policies and regulations.
Requirements for the role include:
* A bachelor's degree in a related field such as purchasing or supply chain management.
* At least 2 years of experience in the FMCG sector, preferably in the food service industry.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills to build effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
* Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
* Knowledge of procurement principles and practices including procurement law and ethics.
* Leadership qualities with strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
* Excellent planning and organisational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
This is a full-time, permanent, and hybrid role, with 4 days in the office and 2 from home.
