Job Description

The role of Health Economist involves leveraging expertise in pharmacoeconomics and health outcomes research to drive the development and commercialization of innovative medicines. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the completion of pharmaco-economic submissions, including rapid reviews and full-HTA assessments, to secure timely patient access to new GSK and ViiV medicines.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide expert HEOR input for all NCPE pharmaco-economic submissions (rapid review [RR] and full-HTA) for new innovation medicines and indication extensions in various therapy areas.
* Lead on HEOR technical documents and/or research projects for the vaccines business, ensuring alignment with commercial strategy and stakeholder requirements.
* Define clinical profiles, relevant comparators, and evidence generation needs for delivering robust HTA submissions.
* Collaborate with medical affairs teams to identify and include necessary clinical data and scientific publications in HTA dossiers.
* Develop cost-effectiveness models using reference global models, tailored to the Irish healthcare setting, and complete modifications for compatibility with NCPE requirements.
* Generate health outcomes data, conduct HO studies, and publish findings to support clinical and economic value propositions in commercial negotiations.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant science or engineering field, complemented by a master's qualification in health economics. Three years of experience in the Irish pharmaceutical and/or healthcare environment are essential, with 1-2 years of specific experience in pharmaceutical economics and/or health economics being preferred.

Skills and Qualifications:

* Expertise in pharmaceutical and/or health economics modelling, budget impact analyses, outcome research methodology, quality of life measurement, and cost data identification.
* Working knowledge of national guidelines in economic evaluation, including the Guidelines for the Economic Evaluation of Health Technologies in Ireland (2019).
* Experience working with NCPE processes, HSE value propositions, evidence generation for HTA dossiers, and pricing and reimbursement strategies.
