Job Description
As a Document Controller, you will be responsible for managing the Project Document Management system and digital field tool.
Responsibilities
* Manage and host information management system (IMS) / document management system (DMS) sessions for new users within the project team.
* Provide support and coaching to project users of IMS / DMS programmes, including third parties such as client teams, designers, and subcontractors.
* Develop project file naming protocols with the information systems manager and project team.
* Develop workflows alongside ISM and manage throughout the project lifecycle.
* Create forms and tasks in line with Digital Project Delivery (DPD) procedures and site requirements.
* Configure and implement change control processes.
* Validate, check, and curate all incoming and outgoing project documentation.
* Configure and prepare status reports on workflows and reportable data.
* Prepare and configure distribution matrices in compliance with project requirements.
* Establish and maintain central site files, uncontrolled drawings, and registers.
* Collate operation and maintenance, health and safety, quality, environmental, BCAR files.
Experience
* Experience working on projects with large volumes of data and information from various sources.
* Advanced experience with Common Data Environments and Digital Field Tools.
* Ability to effectively communicate with and educate stakeholders in DPD protocols.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary design teams and client teams.
* Experience dealing with subcontractors and the wider supply chain.
* Understanding of naming conventions in accordance with ISO 19650.
Qualifications
* Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite.
* Understanding of BS 1192 and PAS 1192, or ISO 19650.
* Advanced user of VFP and FV, or similar platforms.
