We are currently recruiting for the following position:
* Post: Support Worker
* Contract: Permanent, Part-Time (30 hours per week)
* Location: Cahersiveen Community Programme
Roster: Mon: 09:30 - 16:00, Tues: 08:30 - 17:00, Wed: 09:30 - 15:30, Thurs: 10:00 - 15:30, Fri: 09:30 - 15:30
Note: Roster may be subject to change due to operational requirements.
Cahersiveen Community Programme provides day services 5 days per week to 8 service users from the locality.

The Role
The Support Worker will empower individuals by planning and setting meaningful goals tailored to their personal, social, recreational, academic, independent living, community integration, training, and supported employment needs. They will support individuals to achieve their aspirations, promote independence, advocate for inclusion, and work within a person-centred framework.
The role includes maintaining accurate records, providing physical, emotional, psychological, and healthcare support, facilitating life skills development, and working alongside healthcare professionals to ensure high standards of care. The position requires dedication, lifelong learning, and a passion for making a difference.
Essential Criteria
* QQI Level 5 in Healthcare Support or equivalent; minimum 1 year of relevant experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, or current Nursing/Social Care degree students.
* Passion for supporting and empowering individuals.
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and legislation such as the Disability Act 2005, Data Protection & GDPR.
* Excellent communication and documentation skills.
* Ability to plan, coordinate, and maintain accurate digital records.
* Understanding of rights-based and person-centred approaches.
* Eligibility to work in Ireland, with documentation provided during recruitment.
Highly Desirable Criteria
* Experience in care delivery within disability services.
* Liaison experience with statutory and voluntary agencies.
* Basic IT skills for reporting and communication.
* Full driver’s license and access to insured vehicle (desirable).
