Solar Power Plant Construction Manager Job Summary
This position involves overseeing the on-site construction of solar power plants. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities.
- Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient workflow and progress.
- Monitor site progress and ensure alignment with the overall project schedule and key milestones.
- Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and company safety culture.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks.
- Resolve technical and logistical issues on site in real time.
Reporting & Coordination:
- Report daily and weekly progress to the project manager.
- Lead site meetings with subcontractors and internal teams.
- Track performance against key performance indicators: quality, cost, and time (QCT).
- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with contractual obligations.
Stakeholder Management:
- Act as the main on-site contact for subcontractors, local authorities, and external partners.
- Support commissioning activities and ensure a smooth handover at project provisional acceptance.
Requirements:
- Degree in engineering, construction management, or related field (Bac +5 or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of experience in site supervision or construction project management, ideally in the renewable energy or infrastructure sector.
- Proven ability to lead site teams and coordinate multiple contractors.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Fluency in English; familiarity with local Irish construction practices is a plus.
- Flexibility for site-based work across Ireland.
