EIB Trainee - Secretariat General - Institutional Representation Division - based in Zagreb, Croatia
Join the European Investment Bank (EIB) as a Trainee in the Secretariat General – Institutional Representation Division at our local office in Zagreb, Croatia. The 5‑month traineeship begins on 1st March 2026 and offers an opportunity to work in a truly international, multicultural environment, supporting the EIB’s engagement with the VP Office, Croatian public officials and other stakeholders.
Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st March 2026)
Only applications from nationals of the European Union or candidate states (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey and Ukraine) will be considered. Candidates whose Erasmus+ programme overlaps with the duration of the traineeship will not be considered. Applications are limited to a maximum of three submissions; only the first three applications will be considered.
Responsibilities
* Organisation of events and meetings (logistics and invitations)
* Maintaining a database of stakeholders
* Contacting public organisations
* Liaising with colleagues from EU Commission and other EU and international organisations as needed
* Collecting data, preparing databases, and performing guided analysis
* Preparing presentations
* Writing draft notes, reports, and other tasks as needed
* Supporting the Head of Office with social media posting to improve communication of the Office and EIB projects in Croatia
Academic Qualifications and Professional Skills
* Final year of studies or university degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Business Management and/or Communication
* Good communication skills and proactive attitude
* Good analytical and drafting skills
* Working knowledge of social media platforms, especially LinkedIn
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint
* Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English; working knowledge of Croatian would be an advantage
