Job Description
We are seeking a skilled MEP Estimator to undertake estimating duties independently, reporting to our management team in the delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have a mix of public and private sector project experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A Level 9 Post Graduate Certificate in MEP Quantity Surveying or B.Eng. in MEP Engineering.
* 3+ years of MEP estimating experience in consultancy or contracting environment supporting commercial, industrial or pharmaceutical construction projects.
* Proficiency using common office programs and IT, preferably with experience in digital take-off (Bluebeam, CostX and/or Cubit), BIM and Life Cycle Analysis/Carbon Assessment software.
* Ability to work proactively within project teams.
* Commercially and contractually focused.
* Technical knowledge of MEP installations with ability to identify, critically appraise/evaluate, measure, and describe MEP installations for cost estimating and the preparation of tender documents.

Others
The successful candidate will also be required to be technically proficient in Quantity Surveying. Typical duties may include:
1. Preparation of development budgets and feasibility appraisals.
2. Implementation of value management and value engineering.
3. Preparation of estimates including system take-offs, material take-offs (MTO) and building-up rates from first principles (material, labour and plant) for all MEP installations.
4. Preparing financial reports and cash flow forecasts.
5. Implementation of whole life cycle and carbon assessment and analysis.
6. Operation of the cost management system.
7. Compliance with ISO Certified Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Management Systems.
