The Spray Painter is responsible for preparing, finishing, and spraying doors, frames, furniture and joinery to a high-quality standard using paints, lacquers, stains, and other finishes.
The role requires attention to detail, technical skill in spray application, and the ability to work efficiently within tight production deadlines.
Prepare timber surfaces for spraying (sanding, filling, masking, priming).
Apply spray coatings (lacquers, primer, stains) using spray guns or other equipment.
Ensure smooth, even coverage without drips, runs, or blemishes.
Maintain spray equipment, clean tools, and ensure work area is kept in a clean and tidy condition at all times.
Inspect finished products for quality, consistency, and adherence to customer specifications.
Work closely with the production team to meet project timelines.
Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements Strong knowledge of spray painting techniques for wood and furniture.
Ability to prepare and finish surfaces to a very high standard.
Familiarity with different coatings, stains, and finishing products and techniques.
Good eye for detail, colour matching, and surface quality.
Ability to read and follow production orders, drawings, and instructions.
Good time management and efficiency in a busy production environment.
